Case Mate--Good Power, but chinced out on case components

This product is very effective in adding the power needed to work with your phone beyone 2:30 pm. However, after a couple of weeks I ran into problems I feel stem from cheap components. First the connection between the case and the charging cable loosened. I cant tell if the female part of the case enlarged, or the male part of the cable loosened, but something compromised the connection that inhibited the case from charging. Then the belt clip exploded on me when it got caught on something getting into the car. The case itself is quite bulky and heavy too.
Worked great for about 3 weeks, then i couldnt get it to hold a charge due to the loosened connection. I think the metal of the connecting parts are too soft.
